This wood pen is made from the heartwood of a birch log. The log was taken from a tree in Williamstown, Massachusetts, downed in an ice storm in 2008. The wooden pen sports beautiful strait grain. The wooden pen is slightly reddish in hue, as the color of the heartwood of a paper birch tree. The wood pen is itself has several beads along the shaft for improved grip and comfort.
The pen comes with a black ink cartridge and takes standard cross refills. It also comes with one PenPac (TM). The PenPac is handmade pouch to provide a protective place for your pen.
